Profile photos for service bookings
Dint+ limits when a provider can see a client’s photo so booking decisions focus on the service request, rather than the client’s appearance.
At a glance
- Clients can see the provider’s public profile photo when choosing a service.
- Before a booking starts, providers see the client’s first name and an initial placeholder in the booking request and its chat.
- Accepting or confirming a request does not reveal the client’s photo. The photo stays hidden until after the booking starts.
When can a provider see my photo?
Your profile photo stays hidden from the provider in your service-booking request and chat before the booking starts. A new request shows your first name only, with an initial placeholder instead of your photo.
Confirmation alone does not change this. Once the booking has started, your photo can be shown to help the provider recognize you. If the start time is unavailable, the photo stays hidden.
Why can clients see provider photos?
A provider’s public profile helps clients understand who is offering a service. Their photo can be visible before a client sends a booking request, alongside the provider’s service information.
This article covers photo sharing in Dint+ service bookings. Your public profile and other features have their own visibility settings.
Fair booking decisions
Providers should assess a request using relevant details such as the service, location, schedule, and their ability to complete the job. Dint+ uses delayed client-photo sharing to help reduce appearance-based bias in that decision.
If you have a concern about how your photo is shown or how a booking request was handled, contact Dint+ support.
