Messages for your people and plans

Use direct messages to stay close and group conversations to bring people together. Coordinate a booking, ask your host a question, or connect with a creator where messaging is available. Return to the conversation as the relationship grows.

From chat to a voice call

In a supported one-to-one mobile chat, choose the voice-call action to talk with the other Dint+ user. Calling depends on feature access, a supported app version, and microphone permissions. Group messaging does not imply group calling.

See each other on video

Choose the video-call action in a supported one-to-one mobile chat when you want to speak face to face. Video calling uses your camera and microphone permissions. The options shown in your app determine what is available in that conversation.

Your AI voice is a different conversation

Talk with Your AI to explore an idea aloud in supported voice experiences. Specialized agents can have their own supported voice choices. This is a conversation with an AI assistant, separate from calling another person; access and usage limits apply.

AI call assistance, by agreement

Where enabled, eligible person-to-person calls offer optional AI help. Both people must separately agree to live transcription and to AI recap analysis. You can withdraw those permissions or stop assistance. Eligible providers can separately activate AI answering for their verified phone number; it is a different setup with its own permissions and usage terms.

Help with messages, on your terms

Where available, choose an agent to suggest replies or explicitly enable automatic replies. For supported encrypted conversations, authorizing your phone to share new incoming text makes that text readable to the AI service and its model provider. Your AI receives authorized content, not your conversation keys.

Connected channels, with permission

X messaging assistance requires an eligible connected account, DM permissions, and feature access. It covers new DMs and has separate controls in messaging-assistant settings. X conversations are not currently a unified Chats inbox.

Know what is private

Supported mobile private messages use end-to-end encryption. Legacy messages have different protections, and encrypted direct and group sending is not yet enabled on the website. Message encryption coverage does not establish end-to-end encryption for voice or video calls. Check the security guide for coverage and device requirements.
